About Her Pleasure Media
Her Pleasure Media is an independent media company creating intelligent, culturally resonant storytelling about pleasure, sexuality, intimacy, relationships, wellness and the lives women are building for themselves.
Founded by Tiana Hercules, HPM was created from a simple belief: women's pleasure should not be treated as frivolous, shameful or confined to the bedroom. Pleasure touches our bodies, relationships, health, confidence, money, work, beauty, rest, freedom and ability to choose the lives we actually want.
With Black women at the center rather than the margins, Her Pleasure Media creates space for candid conversations and compelling stories that are curious, sophisticated, joyful and unafraid of complexity.
What becomes possible when women are allowed to take their pleasure seriously?
Because pleasure isn't a luxury. It's a practice.
The Founder
Founder + Host
Tiana Hercules is an attorney, media founder, advocate and host whose career has been shaped by asking difficult questions about power, freedom, justice and who gets to define the terms of our lives.
Her work has moved across law, public service, entrepreneurship and media, but the throughline has remained remarkably consistent: creating space for people, particularly women, to exercise greater agency over their bodies, voices, choices and futures.
As founder of Her Pleasure Media and host of P is for Pleasure, Tiana brings that same curiosity to conversations about sexuality, intimacy, relationships, emotional wellness and culture. Her interview style is warm, candid and intellectually curious, creating conversations that can move easily between laughter and vulnerability, personal story and larger cultural questions.
Now producing from Nairobi, Tiana is building Her Pleasure Media as a global platform grounded in the belief that women's lives deserve to be examined through more than struggle and survival. Desire, joy, pleasure, ambition, beauty, curiosity and freedom belong in the story too.
"I'm interested in what happens when women stop treating pleasure as something they have to earn and start recognizing it as information about the lives they actually want."
The Flagship Show
Conversations worth having about the lives we're actually living.
P is for Pleasure is the flagship media property from Her Pleasure Media: a visual show hosted by Tiana Hercules exploring sexuality, intimacy, relationships, emotional wellness, culture and pleasure through candid conversations with compelling thinkers, practitioners, creators and lived-experience experts.
The show is intellectually curious without becoming clinical, sex-positive without becoming performative, and deeply interested in the cultural forces that shape how people experience themselves and one another.
Conversations move beyond simple advice and surface-level discussions to examine the deeper questions underneath pleasure:
How are we taught to understand our bodies?
Who taught us what love should look like?
What does patriarchy cost women, and men?
How do culture, race and power shape intimacy?
What happens when psychology itself needs to be decolonized?
How do women's experiences change through motherhood, menopause, aging and reinvention?
What does it mean to build a life around desire rather than obligation?
The result is a show capable of being funny, provocative, intimate, educational and emotionally honest, sometimes within the same conversation.
The Conversations
From masculinity and emotional intimacy to sexual wellness, relationships, menopause, healing and cultural expectations, every episode begins with curiosity rather than a predetermined answer.
